The Godlies (formerly Polite Society) have won many admirers in London and beyond for their beautiful songs and great live shows. Fronted by twin sisters Ruth and Lizzie, their music combines sweet harmonies and resonating lyrics with beautiful guitar, mandolin and banjo arrangements.
The band have played with many established folk artists such as James Raynard, The Memory Band and Rod Stern, and have performed at the Cambridge Folk Festival. They have just finished working on their new EP with Alexis Smith (Moulin Rouge, Rufus Wainwright) and Andy Strange (Robbie Williams, Elton John).
