JoJo's music goes all over the place, created freshly at each performance. Some have likened her music to J.S. Bach, Mozart, Eric Satie, Debussy and others.
JoJo Zawawi is a self-taught improvisational classical and jazz pianist and composer. She composes all her own music, and at live concerts, rather than playing music already written, she improvises all new pieces -- sometimes based on made-up melodies solicited from the audience.
"Genius composer...." (Chick Corea)
"Improvisational genius...." (Los Angeles Valley News)
Some other reviews:
"Soaking me in music straight to the bones ... Defying convention and free from coercion, JoJo's music -- music that takes hold of your innermost and compels you to close your eyes and feel it, imagine it, savor it. It brought about a rush of inspiration. Genius...."
"I just sat down in my chair, put on your CD, and wow! It was just so beautiful. The music went into every fiber of my being. It was absolutely incredible."
"She's amazing. She just makes up music on the spot, and it's BEAUTIFUL. She's a genius!"
Hey there, Here's one from left field... Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat? A while back I came across some very disturbing information, which inspired me to make this video: Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4 Both artistic (ensure you've good enough sound to enjoy the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice. Though the source materials are somewhat aged, the fundamentals remain relevant today. I encourage all to visit the YouTube web page above to learn more (Show your support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly re-post and circulate as widely as possible. Help to raise awareness. Say have you checked out my web site (www.faberoptime.com) recently? Take care and keep in touch.
