Jokari are a Hip Hop Rock influenced band from Britain's most easterly town, Lowestoft, Suffolk, UK. The five piece formed in the September of 2007. Jokari started songs in an attic. After a few poor recordings using a rubbish laptop and chop sticks for drum sticks jokari was born.
The band are all accomplished guitarists and songwriters. The band consist of Kieran Richadson (Main Vocals), Ben Lever (Guitar / Backing Vocals), Sam Brown (Bass) and Wayne Hardy (Drums) Mixing Rock Music with Hip Hop Vocals makes them the only Rock Hop band in Lowestoft.
Jokari take their influences from a wide range of bands and artists such as Aesop Rock, Jhest, Muse, Pink Floyd, Bush and Cyprus Hill.
The first full band gig was September 22nd 2007, at The Brewery Tap, Lowestoft with fellow rockers Six Degrees of Separation.
