THE SEX: www.myspace.com/thesexrocks
In the beginning, there was one dude and one guitar. The dude was Robbie Eastman. Robbie had been playing for about six years when he first met up with Richie Hollins, in sixth grade. One day Robbie brought his guitar to Richie's place and impressed the hell out of him by playing "Panama" by Van Halen. A short time later, Richie bought his first bass guitar and his brother, Joey Hollins, bought his first electric guitar. This was the basis of the band, then called "Mystery". After playing a few parties and a talent show, they decided it was time that they upped the ante and added some drums. Joey was put on the kit and Michael Leber was recruited for rythm guitar. On that day, Joker was born. After honing their skills on some good ol' KISS, AC/DC, and Guns N' Roses tunes, they discovered the speed of Metallica's "Master of Puppets", and all hell broke loose. After learning just about every good Metallica song, and playing numerous parties and shows, they decided to write some of their own tunes. With advice from Lamb of God's Mark Morton, they adapted a style of fast thrash beats, with breakdowns and lead solos. They continue to evolve as their music diversifies and improves. Check 'em out, dammit!!!!!!!!! This layout was made by THE REGINA
Herbal Circle needs your help more then ever. We have a our biggest show yet, opening up for The Matt Koon Foundation. What makes this such a big show?? It is our first gig at The Canal Club! We've played all over Richmond but this is our first time at this much more prestigious venue. We need EVERY single head we can get there.
The show will be at 9pm on Saturday, March 1st 2008. it's only going to cost around $7, and it is ALLLLL AGES, so don't let your age keep you from coming to this show. Herbal Circle has been granted an hour to play, and we are going to be putting on a show for the record books, with all killer and no filler.
But none of this will be a good expirience, unless YOU are there! We do not have any shows after March 1st, until summer, so Don't let this show slip off your calender. We need you our fans and friends more than ever, so PLEASE help make this a wonderful night and big step-up for a band who has been entertaining homely crowds in Richmond for the last year now. And if you never see another Herbal Circle performance in your life, make March 1st, the first, the best, the last, whatever it would be to you, just try to be there.
Naw man, we aren't in it yet. I'm not sure if we are going to do it or not. You know when the deadline is? It might have already passed. We should hook up a show together again. I'm going to try and come see you guys on the 21st. Take it easy and keep up the good work!
