About me: I'm a Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist & Producer from New York City
who writes uplifting, funny & romantic songs in a Rock/ Pop/ Country style.
I also play rhythm and lead guitar & percussion and sing with a powerful and passionate voice..
I started writing songs at the the age of 2 or 3, at around the same time I started talking!
Maybe I was a songwriter in a previous life?..LOL! One of my earliest memories is of climbing up on the windowsill and singing my songs out the window, in the hope that someone would discover me. I remember feeling quite frustrated, that I didn't already have a song in the charts! :)
Neither of my parents were musicians, but we did have good friends and neighbors, who were hit songwriters and/or active in the entertainment world.
My Mom Anne Taylor had been a very successful model and also had speaking parts in some major Hollywood movies.
I spent my earliest years in Manhattan, then I lived alternately in Manhattan and Europe with my Mom
in Rome, Monaco, Mallorca & Ibiza. I became interested in playing drums and music while living in Mallorca,
after being inspired by our friendships with visiting British musicians.
Eventually, I left for London with the goal of continuing the modeling career which I had begun in Barcelona.
Upon returning to New York,I turned my focus to songwriting and music.
I studied rhythm, improvisation and group playing with Karl Berger at his Creative Music Studio in Woodstock, NY.
Article about CMS:NYTIMES http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/22/arts/music/22berger.html?_r=1 I also studied voice with Gordon Cooke and taught myself to play guitar "with a little help from my friends".
Soon after this, I began playing my original tunes at clubs in Woodstock, Ulster County and Manhattan.
I've played my original tunes with my bands, trios and solo at these and other New York City clubs: Max's,
Great Gildersleeves, Trax, C.B.G.B's., 22 Below, the Baggot Inn, Sidewalk, and Kenney's.
I've appeared in New Rochelle at Bottoms Up, at the Ulster County Fair and at the Chance, in Poughkeepsie and
at various Fundraisers such as: the Concert for the NYC friends of Clearwater, at the Community Church of New York,
and at many venues in Boston, Arizona & Nevada.
Radio:
My songs have been played on radio station WBBC in California and Arizona and on WBAI in New York City (where I also performed live)
Film:
You can see me standing next to Nicholas Cage, in the Academy Award winning movie "Leaving Las Vegas"
Who I'd like to meet: Any Great Producers Especially: John Leventhal & Sir George Martin.
Been wanting to stop by and say hello for awhile now. Been a very busy summer and now it's the last day of summer!! Stop by and holler at me. Take care -Spady
Thanks for listening, Jolie. "But, Dad," which I co-wrote with David Stewart, is actually about a man who's just found out he and his wife are going to have a baby girl. The demo was sung by Perry Danos and was recorded at Jim Prendergast's studio in Nashville. "Give Him All My Love" is about a pregnant teen who's giving up her child for adoption. It was sung by Lisa Christine and recorded by my co-writer, Rob Taube, here in Brooklyn. :) mb
Nope. I wasn't in town this past week. Must have been some other incredibly good looking guy. But I will most certainly send up a flare when I head that direx. Promise. Peace, - E
Hi Jolie! I'm not Irish-not sure if you are either-but it seems like a good day to wish you great good luck for today and always. Take good care! Jeanne-:>
