WHO AM I:
Jolina Star was born in Berlin and went to school in Europe.
She is the 2nd youngest of 3 children and has been writing songs
since she was 15 years old.
Jolina got her first break when she was chosen as the opening stage act
in Germany for Beenie Man's European tour, that led her being flown to
Jamaica to appear on their number 1 music channel Sun TV.
But it wasn't until she met multitalented Anthony Douglas and West Coast Rapstar Kurupt from the Dogg Pound, that things started to change.
Since then she has written an aray of songs ,and finaly found her style, she has no problem colloborating with rappers having worked on projects with Party Arty and Azz Izz from the Outsidaz as well as the producer Chris Langrill from Man Made Music NYC.
Her live show is pure electricity.Thats the energy, that goes through you,
when you watch her perform.
The first single "I can make you love me",produced by Isy Beatz (Germany's Lil' John), is a perfect combination of electro-pop and R'nB.
Hard drums against pretty electric synthesizer melodies make this single a sure shot in any club.
On songs like "All over now" she shows us her true potential as a songwriter
and brings us to the depth of her versality.
She is the perfect example of todays new model artist.

Jolina Star wurde in Berlin als Tochter kroatischer Eltern geboren. Sie ist in der Hauptstadt
aufgewachsen und besuchte hier auch die Schule.
Bereits in ihrer frühesten Jugend, geprägt durch den
kulturellen Einfluss ihrer Familie, hat sich Jolina Star mit
Musik beschäftigt. Im Alter von 15 Jahren begann Jolina
Star mit dem Schreiben eigener Songs.
In Berlin lernte sie ihren heutigen Mentor, den New Yorker
Produzenten und Songwriter Anthony Douglas, kennen und wurde von ihm in das
Musikgeschäft eingeführt. Der erste Achtungserfolg im Musikgeschäft kam mit
der Eröffnung der Show des weltbekannten Reggaekünstlers Beenie Man in
Berlin. Kurz darauf flog Jolina Star nach Jamaika und war unter anderem vor Ort
im Musikkanal Sun TV zu sehen.
Seit dieser Zeit arbeitet Jolina Star mit namhaften Rappern (u.a. Kurupt (Dogg
Pound), Party Arty und Azz Izz (Outsidaz)) zusammen. Mit dem Produzenten
Chris Langrill von Man Made Music, New York, arbeitete Jolina Star zudem an
einem Song.
Ihr erstes eigenes Album wird Anfang September 2008 veröffentlicht, für das sie
alle Stücke selbst geschrieben hat. Die Singleauskopplung „I can make you love
me“ feat. Anthony Douglas wurde von Isy-Beatz produziert und ist eine perfekte
Kombination aus Elektropop und R&B. Harte Beats gepaart mit einer einzigartigen
Stimme, eingebettet in elektrische Synthesizer-Melodien, werden den
Song von Anfang an zum Favoriten an den Turntables der Clubs erklären.
Jolina Star versprüht pure Elektrizität bei ihren Auftritten. Das Energiebündel
begeistert die Zuschauer dabei nicht nur mit ihrer Stimme und ihren Songs,
sondern auch mit Charme, Stil und Ausstrahlung. Damit avanciert sie zur
Nummer 1 auf der Liste neuer Talente im Musikgeschäft.
