Jolly Jumpers - Welcome to the Fantom Zone
Jolly Jumpers started back in 1980 in Tyrnävä, Finland, a small rural community only a short drive from the Arctic Circle. They are one of the
pioneers, and also one of the best-kept secrets, of the Finnish alternative rock scene. They've truly achieved the status of "living legend".
Throughout their quarter century of existence, Jolly Jumpers have stubbornly created their own totally unique musical brand of Finnish Americana. In their music, you can hear echoes of the sincere spirituality of Johnny Cash; the fragile, doomed beauty of Velvet Underground; the guitar thunder of Neil Young & Crazy Horse - all combined with the most hypnotic strains of ancient Finnish musical tradition.
With the release of their 7th album, the critically-acclaimed "Mobile Babylon" (2006), Jolly Jumpers received broader public recognition, which resulted in several tours in Europe. Now at the age of 28, the band delivers their deepest and most powerful album. "Fantom Zone" by Jolly Jumpers will be released on October 1, 2008.
