Originally from Iceland Jona started singing in bands when she was 16. Starting off with a original/cover project called Black Out. They released 2 original songs, one (Come Around) witch made it onto top 40 list in Iceland. Jona played with various bands there as well as working as a Radio Host/DJ on various radio stations (Bylgan FM98.9 Rotin FM106.8) In 1994 Jona decided to move to Canada to further persue her musical career. First Project there was Drums and Vocals for her Uncles renown Blues band Thor and the Thundercats . She also ran several jam sessions around the Island. Next project was Strange Behavior , a rocking 4 piece playing Funk/Rock/disco/Pop. In '94 Jona took a big step and started working on cruise ships (Royal Caribbean and Princess Cruiselines) It was back behind the drums, singing lead for Jamm Inc. as a Show band. Doing shows as: Dancing threw the Decades (50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's) Island Night Dance parties (Disco,Funk.Reggae,Rock). During this time Jona travelled all over the Caribbean. Currently Jona is steppin away from the drums, just to add a percussion station on stage with the Mega Disco, Funk Dance band Wunderbread (www.wunderbread.ca)
This is a 13 year old, 7 piece corparate band that has won a great reputation as a BADASS Danceband all over the West Coast. Wunderbread has now teamed up with the motown sensation The Paramounts and are doing shows with all the old motown hits in one set and then a powerful disco and funk set. The band does full motown and disco costumes. Jona also fronts The very popular Rock,soul and reggae band Iris.
