Over the past two years I have been in medical school and now am between my 2nd and 3rd years, doing research in cancer biology at the National Institutes of Health. Medical school has been quite an interesting and wonderful journey and it is strange to be thinking so much about music these days. But it is also very exciting. Over the past 3 years, Mark Doyle (who produced the new album) and I would record a few songs at a time until this past summer, we felt that "Harboring the Day" had come together as a complete idea. Every song on the record is there for a reason and the sequence, from "Without Love" to "What You Need" is meant to tell a story of patience, humor, the struggle for understanding love in its many shades and directions, and ultimately of hope. Further, the album includes a twelve page full color booklet featuring the photography of my brother, Ezra. I am proud of what we were able to create and I can't wait for you to hear it.
