The style of Jon Ashley and The Little Triggers is a rootsy mix of tight twangy country, bluesy R&B groove, and rock with cathartic and tortured lyrics.
It all started as a recording project with the help of a great studio band and members of The Shinerunners (AMAZING BAND). Clubs offered Jon some gigs and Ear X-Tacy (the best music store period) offered to help get the CD (Damaged Goods) released. Jon then played some gigs with vaious groups of musicians, including some from the Shinerunners. At some point, he went on hiatus to work more with The Shooting Gallery.
With his next batch of songs ready to go, Jon reformed the studio band, but now with Stuart Vessels taking Tim Krekel's place due to Tim being busy with his own projects. They recorded his second cd, Walking Free, which has just been released (Nov 2007).
Look for Jon Ahsley and The Little Triggers live in clubs starting in Dec 2007 and Jan 2008.
