after 10 years or so of spending countless hours days skin cells and energy wasted on bands that ended too soon or not soon enough...
i picked up a guitar and a computer... decided to give all those "in my underwear at home" tunes a go.
here they are.
the idea is this:
from mid september to sometime in april, the state of maine is a cold, grey and lonely place. it gets dark before 5 pm. snows often. the wind will strip the meat off your bones. staying inside with a bottle of good (or in my case cheap) liquor is one of the only things left to do...
these songs (kitchens/winter) are what happened this year... i don't know if they sound as wintry to a stranger as they do to me. that doesn't really matter i suppose. in a few months that will be relatively irrelevant.
so enjoy.

Beautiful version of 3rd Planet. I should be venturing my way back up to ME soon I'll keep you posted. Just gotta wait for the car to get outta the shop.

i've never heard the original 3rd planet but i looked up the lyrics and read them while i listened to your cover. it was a beautiful experience; thank you!
I haven't been doing much with music latley. I guess it's mostly because I haven't had a practice space. It's kind of a long story. Anyway I moved to Westbrook and I'm working at Ruby Tuesday in South Portland. The people there are chill and they hook me up with a good schedule which is nice.
3309 bridges st. #3 Morehead city, Nc 28557. I will definitely show my friends. I miss being home with you guys, this shit sucks. I have virtual friends. Next year, you and me need to get in my Jeep with a trailor on the back, and just tour. Singing our own songs and pissing off the world, getting drunk. Whatta ya say. Luvs Jess
Sweet Johnny, is that you playing piano. I need a hard copy of your songs homie. If you can send one that would be awesome, for the long ride to work everyday. Jess
