Musician since many years in the border field between Nordic roots and other awesome music.
Jonas Simonson plays like no other flutist, with his own characteristic sting and intensity of sound and rhythm. In addition to the ordinary flute, he alternates with various overtone flutes and wooden flutes, as well as performing on the bass clarinet. Jonas performs with the legendary folk-fusion ensemble Groupa and Den Fule. He has previously performed with Bäsk, Kapell Frisell and the Vocal Ensemble Amanda.
The new solo CD, Crane Dance, at the label Nordic Tradition, is now available.
