Jonathan Coleman is a singer/songwriter originally from Floyd, New York. He has been performing around the Central New York region for the past 7 years. Jonathan picked up the guitar while he was studying accounting at Herkimer Community College.
Jonathan started perusing the open mic scene playing a mixture of Dave Matthews covers and his originals. It was at open mic night at the Fireside Lounge in Rome, New York that his music created a following. Along with the following came requests from friends and fans to put out a CD.
Jonathan honored their request by recording and producing a compilation of his songs on his home computer. His first CD titled "Castle Walls" was passed among family and friends when a copy fell into the hands of local owner of Cellar Dweller Studio, Jay McCarty. McCarty offered to add some background music to Jonathan's CD. Jonathan accepted and in 2000 he released his second CD "Originals"
Most recently Jonathan won the CNY Top Singer Contest sponsored by Joette's Gifts and hosted by Keeler in the Morning radio show and Kiss FM(97.9/105.5). One of the prizes is the opportunity to record a CD at JA Castle Studios. Among the songs to be listed on the CD will be the "Cell Phone Song", "64" and "Head Held High"
