Hailing from the shores of Cedar Lake, Minneapolis native Jonathan Dessi-Olive did what a lot of others did in this chilly city: pick up a guitar and start writing songs.
Trained classically on the piano during his early childhood years, Jonathan's transition to Rock Music was pretty smooth. His songs are a synthesis of all the music he hears around him. They usually turn out to be highly original pop compositions that cover a wide range of topics.
For the past few years Jonathan's main creative focus has been studio recording but he still takes the stage, usually as a solo artist. With just a guitar and his voice he takes his songs from the studio, strips them of all the production and layers of overdubs and delivers with all the energy he has to offer.
Jonathan is currently working on an EP that will one day be released. Until then, keep checking this page for new material.

Hey man, I hope your show went well tonight. Sorry I couldn't make it. I felt pretty crappy after work, I think the heat got to me a little bit. Anyway I'll make sure to make the next one and perhaps do a little bit of rocktogrpahy while I'm at it. Have a good time at Bonnaroo if I don't see you guys before you leave.
Happy hump day from Cities Live! Hope you can tune in to the show this Sunday! If you have any requests or comments please feel free to leave us a voice comment on our profile so we can play it on the air.
