Jonathan Taylor Rose is on a mission—to bring passionate, poetic rock and roll to the masses. His drive for success is ravenous. His instincts are keen. And the music speaks for itself.
As Nightflying Magazine said, “Though Rose may be young, he possesses a mature sound that rivals many industry veterans. His songs are passionate, rocking and show a dedicated attention to detail.”
Inspired by rockers like Benjamin Del Shreve and Ryan Adams, the 21-year old Rose has written songs that possess passion, ambience and pop sensibility. On his new EP "Beauty’s Only Envy", Rose and company mix it up by including seriously addictive pop numbers with soaring choruses "Lover's Cinder" and "Slurring Eyes", a stomping rocker "Dear Delilah" and an angsty and melodic ballad "Dust" amongst other gems. Fans of U2, The Killers and Coldplay must take note.
Only two years ago, Rose was just another kid with an acoustic guitar playing six-string laments. However, under the guidance of Bejamin Del Shreve, Rose pieced together a full band and dramatically altered his sound.
“As I’ve matured in writing music, I’ve found that many more options exist for eliciting emotion,” said Rose.
Beyond the recordings, the live show is also not to be missed. Rose and company are known for putting on energetic and captivating live performances. Backed by guitarist Robert Geiger, bassist Danny Klein, keyboardist Sarah Davis and drummer Casey Grimes, Rose is making some of the most passionate and catchy rock ‘n’ roll today. Featuring an epic rock sound that incorporates many different life and musical influences, the songs have a broad and atmospheric range. It’s a sound that Rose is happy to have finally found.
“I’ve always wanted to play arena rock,” he said. “I never thought of music as a part-time gig. I dreamt of making my mark on the world.”

Not much, man. Just getting stuff together. The things I'm getting together come from a variety of categories. I'm telling one particular college that I'm attending, and telling the other ones I'm not. I'm trying not to just completely tune out of these last few weeks of school. I'm listening to Badly Drawn Boy. I'm reading a book about Communism in the Bible. I'm on myspace.
