Hrm...I dunno what to say really. Well, I'm a writer first and foremost. I write rhetoric, social research, philosophy...pretty much anything. But my first love has always been fiction. I've done dozens of short stories, and three novels, some of which is pretty embarrassing when I go back and read it now, but I'm proud of my work (You can read some of my short stories at my fiction blog
here).
I call myself a sociologist. I think that's pretty accurate. I earned my BA at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville and my M.S. at Florida State. My research interests include: political policy and institutionalized inequality, social psychology - especially related to identity formation, the development and maintenance of interpersonal and romantic relationships, attraction, sex and sexuality - global economic policy, religion and ideology, and tons of other stuff.
While here, I discovered that teaching is my true passion in life. I'm currently working as an instructor at FSU while I complete my Ph.D. Being a college instructor has been by far the most rewarding experience in my life, and I can't think of anything I'd rather do.
For fun I like to read, write, cook, go bowling, play video games, argue for the hell of it, and hide bodies for the mob. Its easy and the pay is second to none.
