God, art, love, music, nature, freedom, knowledge, passion... These are just a few of the things that make life worth living. For me, every day is a chance to experience these things and to find art in life. There are so many things about this world that I love. Only second to God, is my love of music. Music is in everything. There is music in a kiss, music in a sunrise, music in a perfectly baked pizza. Music is everywhere and is capable of amazing things. It breaks through language barriers, gets you pumped up, makes you happy, and can make you cry. Right now, I write, play, and perform music: the life of an aspiring artist. It's not always easy, but it does have its benefits... when you play at a restaurant you get to eat for free :) Also, you can always fall back on the "Its Ok, I'm a musician" defense in certain situations: dropping out of college, getting fired from a waitering job, and getting in trouble with the law. Seems like these situations share a universal place in the life story of most people in show business. As a songwriter, experiences like these can serve as great inspiration. But nothing can surpass the inspiration of love. The word alone carries great strength, and it can only be described as the most powerful emotion I've ever felt. Love can make you feel like you are invincible. It can also make you hurt so deeply that death seems like the only option. Few people get to experience true love, but those who do are forever changed by it. I was... and it became my greatest inspiration for writing music. Open your heart and it will find you...
