Jon Goode is Juan Bueno is Jean Bien is Ion Bine! I'm a blessed cat, God is and has been, putting things in place for me my whole life because I'm not smart enough to do any of this on my own. I'm a Southside Richmond, Oak Grove/Blackwell, native and an Atlanta Georgia, College Park, resident. I'm an Emmy Nominated writer and the winner of the 2006 Promax for best copyright. Most recently I appeared in CNN's Black In America. I've also been featured on HBO Def Poetry, I've written and been featured in commercials and interstitials for TVLand/Nick @ Nite, I've written and performed voice overs for McDonalds radio commercials, and I've done print work with Nike. I've represented Atlanta at The National Poetry Slam Competition in both 2005 and 2006 with the Java Monkey Slam team, in 2006 the team finished in the top 10 and I finished 3rd in the nation (I was 1st for 20 seconds but that's another story LOL). I've shared the stage with Alice Walker, Mos Def, Kanye West, Common, Jamie Foxx, Will Downing, Ledisi, Kindred, Glenn Jones, Howard Hewitt, The Last Poets, Amiri Baraka, Jessica Care Moore Poole, Amir Sulaiman, Spinxx, Malik Salaam, Faona Strong, Cola Rum, Q-Swon, Abyss, Cocktails, Focus, Bonnie, Ga Me and a host of other amazing poets, comedians and entertainers. I also crunch numbers by day and get to spin records at various spots around the Atlanta area some nights. In other words... I got a good life man. On this page you might get a lil bit of every side of me, you might get some Poetry, you might get some production, you might get some JGoode DJ remixes... it's all possible! Let me know what you think about any and all of it. You can buy copies of my CD's at www.goodestuffentertainment.com and at www.poetcd.com, thanks for stopping by...
This is the "My God" video testimonial shot by North Point Ministries:
Poetstock 2009! Never before has this been done, and hopefully it will be successfully repeated after this all over the world, again and again….
Our aim is to bring together poets from all over, who produce all genres of poetry for a night of mingling, poetry, shameless self promotion…. Each poet will have the poetry to read their work on stage, sell their work to those who would like to buy, and mingle with the best poets of our generation.
It will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 9 PM at STUDIO PARK; 1519 Carroll Dr Atlanta, GA 30318-3605
And the owner of STUDIO PARK in Atlanta has been gracious enough to open his doors to us without charging us ANYTHING!!!
