Hey John, hope all is good

I found this website www.last.fm, I think you will really like it...

it looks at what music you play on your computer, and plays you music similar, its a great way of finding artists you dont know that are similar to your own tastes.

PS may be able to get off a little earlier that Sat, 2 is worse case scenario.
Also I have your hacki sack in my hand. It's just been on a very nice though slightly wet holiday to Pembrokeshire, and sends it's love. It hopes you are well and will see you soon. x

Word. Yes defo though will have to work Sat a.m 'til two in Bristol then leg it up. Think you said that'll work? If that's good then I'm there. Will have to either head back down same night or early next morning. It's a pain - my usual weekend off but I had to swap around to get others off for festis.
You down here at all to get a jam in beforehand?

British Government has just realised a new way for milking its slaves. "The unlicensed provision of even one musician is a potential criminal offence"

TV licence, taxes, national insurance, forced insurances, fulltime jobs... and now a licence for spreading Art, since the artists are now becoming political minded.. so someone has to pay for it. in return the bar or venue will charge the artist for this extra cost and the artist will be financially weaker in the long run.

The good thing this could do is it could wake up all musicians into reality:

PETITION AGAINST NEW UK LIVE MUSIC LAWS

The Government have recently passed laws in the UK to try and suppress live music.

Pubs which could previously offer work to solo musicians or duos now have to pay for a special licence and can only have 12 of these per year
Even school Xmas concerts need to be licensed.

The unlicensed provision of even one musician is a potential criminal offence (although some places are exempt, including places of public religious worship, royal palaces and moving vehicles). Max penalty: ?20,000 fine and six months in prison (for the proprietor and the musicians).

The rationale is to prevent noise, crime and disorder, to ensure public safety, and the protection of children from harm. But broadcast entertainment, including sport and music, is exempt - no matter where, and no matter how powerfully amplified. For the first time, private performances raising money for charity will need a licence.

School performances open to friends and family will need a licence - they count as public performances.

If you want to add your name to the petition (currently more than 52,000 people have joined the list), please click on the following link (it takes less than a minute)...

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/licensing/

If this law is implemented, it will be disastrous for music and musicians in the UK, and will threaten to return Britain to "the land without music&
