2005 has been a good year. I did a cameo in the musical version of "The Producers" starring Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick.
Then I did a movie called "The Benchwarmers" starring Rob Schneider, David Spade and Jon Heder (Napolean Dynamite). I play Mel the Billionaire. I sponser a baseball tournament called "Mel's Tournament of Little Leaguers and Three Older Guys". It's really funny and silly. And Rob, David and Jon Heder are hilarious. If you like comedy, you'll like this movie.
Now, I'm making a movie called "Southland Tales". It stars the Rock, Sean William Scott, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Cheri Oteri, Nora Dunn, Angelica Houston, Oliver Stone, etc. Oh, and me. It's written and directed by Richard Kelly. He wrote and directed "Donnie Darko". This movie has everything. I can't talk about it, but if you liked "Donnie Darko", you'll love this.
I love you Jon Lovitz. always have. anyways my band O'Doyle Rules' song was in benchwarmers too--- its playing during the pizza hut scene right before you came into the movie. It was my movie debut haha. anyway hopefully ill get some more songs in movies. but that was probably my one shot. AND I BLEW IT. now its living with my parents for life. WOO HOO. if you ever need a personal assistant or some help with jokes let me know i will move asap. haha peaceout keep up the awesome work.
I think i need to pop in the high school high dvd now.
I'm not a comedian, nor an actor ... and, I tend to not indulge a great deal in observing either one.
But, I gotta tell you this ... in every film, or show that I've seen you in, I always ended up laughing, and having a huge smile plastered across my face, long after it was over.
You're a really funny guy, and I have thoroughly enjoyed your characters.
I hope you have as much fun in your work, as the rest of us do in watching it.
You have a wonderful gift, and it's great that you take the time to share it.
One of the coolest movies I have ever seen you in was indeed in fact A League of Their Own, where you played the Baseball scout. Your part was well written, and as a movie critic, I honestly thought, you should have gotten and would have deserved a supporting best actor nod for that movie.
Anyways another of your movies that got me on the jon lovitz train was the first collabration you made with tom hanks, where you played Tom Hanks office buddy in Big. I thought your part was very classy, even if it was kind of short.
Peace Jon, and I caught your show once, it was great.
I'm not on your friends list, but I endeavor to be soon. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that my friend and I just came back from an advanced screening of "The Producers". The reaction was one of amused pleasure at your introduction. We very much enjoyed the whole film; you should be very proud to have been a part of this wonderful film.
One more thing. I actually had the opportunity to work with you. Sorta. I was an extra in "Benchwarmers". We were in the Pizza Hut all night. You, David Spade, Rob Schneider, and Jon Heder were all there. It was seriously one of my more enjoyable experiences, and not just because I got my second S.A.G. voucher that night.
I think it's great that you seem so personable with your fans. Thanks.
