I listen to a lot of Jamiroquai, Medeski, Martin, & Wood, Tower of Power, The Slip, and Maroon 5. My bass influences include Rocco Prestia, Jaco Pastorious, Chris Wood, Garrett Sayers, and Marc Friendman. I like finger style funk, notey and tastey.
Sounds Like
I try not to sound like anyone but myself. Of course I have serious influences that can be heard, but I strive for people to be able to recognize my tone and sound as my own as soon as they hear a few bars. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't!
I have played with many people in and out of seattle including Lester Bowie, Marshall Allen and Michael Ray of the Sun Ra Arkestra, Children of the Revolution, Jude Bowerman Band, Marcus Eaton, Nu-Soltribe and many others.

Happy New Year. I was bummed you couldn't make it up but I trust you had a fun day anyway! I really want to make it back up but I just found out my cousin's wedding is in Feb...means another trip up to Sea-Town...unless a super cheap fare appears out of the air I may not be able to make it. Keep your fingures crossed for the cheap fare! I am! Either way I need to cash in my raincheck next time Im up there. :)
