Performing since 1995, Jon Miller has been steadily promoting his unique style of positive country music. Becoming more and more known, Jon has been the opening act for such acts as Trace Adkins, Charlie Daniels, Josh Turner, Gary Allan, and Trick Pony. Just last year the Jon Miller Band opened for Big & Rich at BayFest on the streets of downtown Mobile, Al. Jon is known for his engaging live shows and imaginative songs. Just as his musical style can range from Country to Inspiration and Rock to Bluegrass, his songs range in emotion from humorous songs to touching love ballads. Some of his influences are Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, Charlie Daniels, Brad Paisley, and James Taylor. A jack of all trades, Jon not only writes and performs music, but he also has produced and hosted his own regional country music video show, Country Twang for several years on Port City 6. The show has been seen throughout the Mobile area and has featured such guests as Darryl Worley, Rascal Flatts, Trick Pony, Marty Raybon, Ashton Shepherd, and Joe Nichols just to name a few.
The past thirteen years has seen Jon performing a wide variety of venues including BayFest, The Frank Brown Songwriter's Festival, Brown Bag in Bienville, Hank Aaron Stadium, and the Greater Gulf state Fairgrounds. He has also been featured in many different media including 95KSJ, the Press Register, Fox 10, WKRG, the nationally-syndicated morning tv show The Daily Buzz and the syndicated radio show Writer's Block w/ Karen Reynolds. Towards the end of 2006 Jon was nominated for two major awards "Country Song of the Year" and "Music Video of the Year" in the international Just Plain Folks Awards, honoring independent musicians around the world. Also, in February of 2007 Jon was selected as a finalist in CMT.com's Music City Madness. Last spring Jon released his second Nashville-produced CD, Next BIG Twang and in the first part of 2008 Jon had his first taste of chart success as a song that he wrote, Choice, became a number 2 hit on the Country Christian Weekly Charts for Danny Ray Harris. He intends to keep pursuing his dreams and building his growing his fan base.
"Jon Miller is a polished performer and a seasoned songwriter. It looks like country music has another rising star." - Karen E. Reynolds, Host of Writer's Block, Knoxville, TN
"Jon does a fantastic job of making ya feel good with every song. That's rare in country music where most artists love to cry in their beer. His writing is outstanding. The songs are comfortable, like your favorite pair of blue jeans. He's got me tapping my feet and singing along." - Shelby Mitchell, 95KSJ, Mobile, Al

JON MILLER: MORE: CD & DVD Combo Pack
What IS Positive Country?? Somewhere between Keith Urban and Brad Paisley, "MORE" is a CD reminding everyone country music isn't just "cryin'-in-your-beer" songs. TWO DISCS FOR UNDER $10!...
I saw this story and it reminded me of a similar situation with my youngins.
Last week I took my children to a restaurant. My six-year-old son asked if he could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said, "God is good. God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream for dessert. And Liberty and justice for all! Amen!"
Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby I heard a woman remark, "That's what's wrong with this country. Kids today don't even know how to pray. Asking God for ice-cream! Why, I never!"
Hearing this, my son burst into tears and asked me, "Did I do it wrong? Is God mad at me?" As I held him and assured him that he had done a terrific job and God was certainly not mad at him, an elderly gentleman approached the table.
He winked at my son and said, "I happen to know that God thought that was a great prayer. " "Really?" my son asked. "Cross my heart," the man replied. Then in a theatrical whisper he added (indicating the woman whose remark had started this whole thing), "Too bad she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes."
Naturally, I bought my kids ice cream at the end of the meal. My son stared at his for a moment and then did something I will remember the rest of my life. He picked up his sundae and without a word, walked over and placed it in front of the woman;
With a big smile he told her, "Here, this is for you. Ice cream is good for the soul sometimes; and my soul is good already."
thank you very much...hopefully will see you around soon...am going to be booking in mobile soon, so let me know if you are looking for someone to play with and I am your man!
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. The road to Success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.
Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.’ AMEN!
Hey John! Thanks so much man! That was an amazing video! You did a great job of producing and playing in it! By the way I love your music. It's very bright and enthralling! Thanks again man, -Nick
