If JONN DEVON's [deh-vawhn] music were a color, it would be translucent.
If it were a taste, it would be white wine. It goes down smooth,
combining precise elements of ambient melody, exacting beats and knowing lyrics, spiced with a dash of the unexpected qualities for which he is known.
For as long as he can recall, Sir Jonn Devon has been creating music
and music has been creating him. This teamwork has taken on new forms
over the years, resulting in not only well-rounded talent,
but unusual and unique brilliance in the world of music as well.
In listening to JONN DEVON's music, it becomes increasingly apparent
that it is not made to fill background space, but to act as an antidote
to cure what ails the mind, heart, and soul. These time-released capsules
of refreshing ear food take on deeper meaning the more one studies them.
Verdict: If you listen with an appetite for a rich new taste, these unique audio delicacies are sure to please.

Thanks for your thoughtful and humorFULL comments on my pics! I had a ton of fun reading your feedback ("Wind Pants" is my fave) and I have to say, the Poem Store is a great idea! I thought of doing stuff like that - and have done it for fun with friends, but big ups to her for makin the dream come alive!
I'm glad you were able to appreciate the zany costum' and wild styles :) I knew you would! Wish you coulda been there!
I'm bummed out that myspace cut off my captions though. Grrr. Oh well! :) *HUGS and LOVE*
I just listened to "Sleepless Concrete" for the first time. Wow! I am reminded of why I love your music. I wish I could just put it on repeat and have it sing me to sleep :)
That's ironic, I just ordered the DM Stith album, along with Dark Was the Night (which looks absolutely amazing), and Screaming Masterpiece (an Icelandic musician compilation). Now I just have to wait for them to get here...
You a big Deerhoof fan? Incidentally, they were at the last show I played here in sf. Satomi was very nice and we did some kind of hand clapping game. Too bad you missed us in SB!
Well, hello, my long lost friend! Not a whole lot is new with me, still working and making no money. I just want it to be spring. How are you? Did you get Andrew Bird tickets?
Hello from the other side of the world :) The sun is bliiiiinding me right now, but it's nice to see some rays. It's gets quite foggy here, I say!
I think I found a new Portland band that you might like to lick up... they're called Boy Eats Drum Machine. They're big on the local Portland indie scene.
The biggest reason that pic is cool is because of the extra terrestrially (sp?) glasses that thou hast bestowed upon me. I've worn them so much that they've got scratch marks on them :( I can't wear them anymore - unless that crap buffs out somehow.
The thrift stores in Portland are...hmmm...how to put it. Well, you know how I hate shopping, and I can't be in a store for for long before I start to get anxious and nervous? Well here it takes a LOT longer to get to that point, and then I leave. But I find myself so compelled to explore these caves of wonder that I keep going back until I've completely exhausted myself. These are the types of places I can see Beck and Michell Gondry shopping at. No joke.
Awww, thanks Jonn! I must say I'm fond of my trucker cap and big sunglasses (that you gave me, that were a life saver on my road trip). Thou art excellent.
I'm listening to Comfort Zone and it feels as though I'm hearing it for the first time. Umm.... maybe it IS my first time. I'm feeling a bit zonky today, sowwy. :) *cyber hug*
EJECT. So delightfully quirky. Devon at his best. If you see one movie this Summer... SCRATCH. Yeah man, makes me want to whip out the guitar and lay down some distorted groveling Radiohead-esque undertones to that beginning. I'm a sucker for all that candy starting at 1:30ish too. Only thing I'd like to hear is a smattering of real drums with that hypnotic beat. Potent stuff as usual.
