   About Jon Redfern

The exceptional new album including the tracks "play of fear" and "part of you" plus "don't worry" (featuring Becky Unthank). FOR A LIMITED PERIOD YOU CAN DOWNLOAD FREE FROM THIS PAGE THE LEAD SINGLE " PLAY OF FEAR" AND 2 BONUS COVER VERSIONS!

"What Else But Love" is released on Reveal Records

"On the aching "part of you" he even sounds a little like Thom Yorke (radiohead) everything on this simple, hypnotic record feels so unforced and easy, its tempting to believe making music this fine is a bit of a doddle, it is not!" (WORD MAGAZINE, may 2008)

jons debut, “May Be Some Time” was a classic slow burning album – in the sense you can get further and deeper into the writing and playing with each additional play and this is the formula which had been chosen to promote Jon’s music. Let the music find its natural place – and from early national radio sessions for stations across the network ( BBC 1, 2, 3 , 4 and 6 have all commissioned live sessions from Jon) as people are being drawn into the sound of jon redfern they have passed the word on.

his music truly distils Jon's experiences and skill as a musician, songwriter, arranger and vocalist. The results defy easy classification and have genuine intelligence and emotional depth. for more information contact. tomreveal@mac.com

The Kittiwakes - CD Launch - Clerkenwell 22nd June

Leigh-on-Sea 3-piece,
The Kittiwakes, celebrate the release of their Midwich Records debut, ‘Lofoten Calling’, a collection of original folk songs written about the people, landscape, folklore and history of the Lofoten Islands above the Arctic Circle and influenced by the traditional music of Norway and the British Isles.

'The Kittiwakes craft timeless and magical acoustically dappled folk treats - gentle and alluring ostensibly Gaelic in sound texture and gorgeously flighty braided as they are by corteges of mandolins, accordions and violins.' [LOSING TODAY]

'The Kittiwakes (rissa tridactyla): delicious, intriguing and evocative music, beautifully played and sung by this talented trio. Recommended to twitchers and lovers of folk music alike' [LEIGH FOLK FESTIVAL]

Hey Jon,

I just put up a new track. It's from a series of images of an abandoned College/School from the 1800's that I scored. Hope you enjoy! By the way, it starts about 15 seconds in.

Message to the World:

It can be so tempting to just go through the motions sometimes... especially when you're living a dream... or (in the oh too common scenario) dreaming about chasing your dreams while chasing the means to acquire them... or the next best thing... or maybe just anything…

Yes, I know that we are tried and tired, notwithstanding all the hope that's been goin' around. Yes, I know that we are searching for an intangible something meaningful to do... the next stage in human evolution maybe… revolution... but without the circles.... hoping to enjoy that sacred cycle in the pursuit of happiness.

...how about finishing what we've started?

Each one: get up, and make it happen; be your own Obama.
