    Jon Rodine was born and raised in Minnesota. Singing for awhile but performing only in recent years, he released a well-received, self-titled album in 2003 on Mercy Recordings. It featured, among others, Tony Glover, Paul Cebar, the Swingin' Liquor Pigs and the last studio recordings of Dave Ray. He was named "Acoustic Performer of the Year" by City Pages in 2004. He has shared the bill with performers such as Tom Russell, Jimmy LaFave, Mark Olson & Victoria Williams, Fred Eaglesmith, Charlie Louvin and Ralph Stanley, and is at work on a second album.
