Hardcore music and the whole scene all kicked off for DJ Sketchy at Bowlers arena Manchester in 1998... after that he never looked back! A move to Bristol soon followed which is where he set up his stall and started mixing. His brother soon got the knack of it which led to them teaming up as the bad boy duo 'Sketchy & Compulsion'. The diverse club scene in Bristol allowed them the opportunity they needed to break through, which led to them landing a residency at one of the UK's top voted clubs - Lakota. After being spotted by DJ Dougal they got their big break when they wrote 'Dance You Got the Chance' which was the first release on the newly re-launched Essential Platinum label. Bookings at United Dance and Future Dance in London soon followed, along with bookings for HTID and Hardcore Heaven.
Sketchy has now gone solo and after being given his big break by DJ Billy Bunter, he now plays main room sets for events such as Tasty and Raindance in London. Production wise along with Deejaybee he co-wrote the remix of DJ Breeze's 'Let's fly', which got onto the No.1 album Clubland X-Treme Hardcore. He also wrote 'Walk Away' with Hardcore singer Lou Lou, which got snapped up for the top 10 album Hardcore Nation 2.
Sketchy's now geared up for the next level in his career by co-promoting Hardcore Euphoria along with Hels from Most Wanted and Mc Spenno. This promises to be a serious event for the masses! Their first night will be held alongside Ploysexual at the mighty Ministry of Sound in London.
