Influences
Until one is committed there is always hesitancy,
the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness,
there is one elementary truth,
the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans:
the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too.
All sorts of things occur to help that would never otherwise have occurred.
A whole stream of events issues from the decision,
Raising to one’s favor all manner of unforeseen accidents and meetings
And material assistance which no man could have dreamed
Would come his way.
Whatever you can do or dream you can begin it.
Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.
goethe, on commitment.

Hello! Jont here....thanks for coming and checking out my myspace!....here you'll find clips of songs from my latest album which i've literally just finished mixing, full length versions of songs from the albums "Supernatural" and "28", little vids of performances and some of my friend Dave's films of the underground-travelling -house-party-gig I put on called "Unlit"...there are also links through to the official site where there is basically the same sort of stuff but more of it! We've just started The Jont Shop here too - so if you're buying a cd or a t-shirt, do it here and we'll send it straight to you. And if you want to make sure you hear about when Unlit is in your area (all are welcome! its free and open to EVERYONE!), or when I'm gigging or have new releases or youtube films going up...then please join the mailing list and get your free download here....
Having worked for years trying to get my music out there the last year has been amazing, with lots more people knowing my music thanks to a couple of my songs being put on the American tv show "Grey's Anatomy", because of some supportive djs at BBC Radio Two - Johnnie Walker and Dermot O'leary...and thanks to the last UK Unlit tour which was sponsored and promoted by Orange and saw over 2 million people tuning to watch the little movies my friend Dave made about the tour on Youtube. This has given me the chance to continue my tiny little record company, Unlit Records, and fund the making of my next album which I have just finished recording.
Whereas "Supernatural" was made from a bunch of live takes of me with an acoustic guitar and then augmented with some piano and cello arrangements, this new album was recorded live with a full band over a couple of days in a classic old studio in South London called Raezor. The band were all artists I'd put on over the past year at Unlit (if you want to know more about what Unlit is and see films of past Unlits or who has played at it in the past or come to one yourself - go to the Unlit section on my official site) so there was a great vibe - I felt the most comfortable I ever have with a band and knew all the people there totally understood my vibe. Also they are all lovely people and fantastically talented musicians....immediately we knew that we were on to something very special. Very soon a name arrived for the band that seemed to match their positive sound - The Infinite Possibility. And thanks to help from legendary South London songwriter and performer Nigel Of Bermondsey who produced the record and Adam Fuest who mixed the record this January, snowed in up a welsh valley, the new record is finished and soon to come out, we are called Jont & The Infinite Possibility, and the album is called "Lovers And Were Angels".

Behind The Scenes of My Album Launch Party
"A human being is part of a whole, called by us the 'Universe', a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest -- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty." -Albert Einstein
