    ....Jopie is a Dutch recording duo with extensive stage experience. We hitched up in 2003, playing drums and bass in a jazz band. ..When the band collapsed we started recording, which we'll keep on doing. .... Inspired by the strength and hope Barack Obama represents, we recorded a jazz-waltz called "The House" that features parts of his speeches. The man swings! We stuck to the small band concept that was introduced when we redorded Just a Girl. With crazy chords on the keys, no guitar and a lot of trumpet it is once again a new feeling. Hope you enjoy it! ....In 2008 JoPie has recorded "Just a Girl". We are very proud of the result as it represents a return to the basics of a small band and a pure lovesong. We hope you like it! The year before we recorded "Alles Ademt / Liefde"(Everything breathes/Love), a song inspired by the beautiful improvisation of our friend Koen Scherer. The lyrics were written by Noud Hovius. Harvest Moon is a recording we made of this Neil Young classic. We did ask him permission, but he hasn't reacted yet. We'll remove the song if you don't like it Neil! .... Long gone by is a very old recording Jo made with his good buddy "Rude Ass presents", an accomplished singer-songwriter from Groningen, the Netherlands. Jo recently finished his second year of playing bass in the workshop of Dies le Duc, a composer of modern music in the Netherlands. Very educational! For this purpose Jo used a five string Cort action bass which was fine-tuned by ..Sjak Zwier.., a well known luthier from Vlissingen, The Netherlands. .... Meanwhile Pie has restructured the studio where "Twintig" (Twenty) and "Harvest moon" were recorded so beautifully.Pie has built an impressive ..studio.. based on digital technology and his enormous recording-experience. The code-word is gigabytes! ......

    1. Pie:.. Pie is the man with the plan, turning the knobs, giving hints, playing keys, strings and his versatile singing voice. He is also the mastermind of recording, mixing, soundscapng en mastering the whole thing. No JoPie without Pie!.. .. 2. Jo:.. the busy, noisy dude; composer, singer, bass 'n guitarplayer, recently bought a trumpet and a violin. Masters an impressive amount of swear- and other dirty words when he can't cut it although he wrote it. Obviously needs guidance, which is where Pie comes in. ..
