BTW, I am towing the GSX to my shop so I can drop the oil pan, pull the head, and most likely pull the block out as well... Looks and sounds like I've got a spun rod bearing. :(
It's all good man. Now from the sounds of things, if there are no boost leaks, fuel problems, compression leaks, and the timing is back in check, and the knock is still there, I am going to have to tear the block apart and do a rebuild because it's either a bad rod bearing, or a fucked up wrist pin...
If that's the case, I am just going to have to park the car in my barn and buy another cheap one while I save money for a complete build on the bottom end. :(
Nothing, that that's the problem! I can't figure this shit out -- the t-belt looks like it is (at WORST) a half of a tooth off on the intake gear, but i wouldn't think that that little would throw it off, you know?
I'm gonna do some more checking and shit today -- probably have to pull out and re-bleed all the lifters again. ugh.

Yeah, that's true, but it is cracked just like mine, but jsut not as deep/bad yet. I'm not gonna put it on, 'cause i don't think it'd be worth the money and time to not really get any performance upgrade. *shrug*
Yeah man, those guys are so laid back and cool. Plus they're like the only store in town that sells actual performance parts! Ok, i'll see if I can find any more people. Hell yeah I'm gonna be down to come watch/ride along (if possible)! I dunno if I'll have to work or not, but I'll let you know.
BTW, the turbo that Austin gave me turned out to be a 14b... Which means that the poor guy paid like $350 for a turbo that was exactly like the one that his car CAME with. Lame.

I won't be able to run more than 12psi still, but the ol' "butt dyno" should be able to feel the difference. ;) I've got the OK to race it as long as I am out of debt and have a back-up vehicle to drive in case i break something. I really hope I cna get these RX7 rims, too, 'cause they're finished in gloss black already, and owuld look dead sexy with a set of 255/50/16 Hoosier quick time slicks! *drool*
BTW, next time you change your oil, go to Bap-Geon to get your filter -- they have the OEM ones (which are the best you can get, really...), for all of $3.25 each. AND they've blue! lol
Hey, I just saw that I missed your call -- sorry about that, I was upstairs eating and my phone was on the charger downstairs. I didn't get that stuff yet, 'cause the guy selling it hasn't gotten back with me. So hopefully I'll be able to snag 'em up later in the week after I order my new SCE gasket, revised lifters, and 272 cams.
As for the hockey, sorry man, I'm gonna have to pass again... I have to go to Austins house for a couple minutes to pick up my intake mani and the 16g he's giving me, and then I have to come home and clean my basement and type the contract for my parents that I have been putting off for a long time.. =/
