   About JORDAN CARP

"This artist might belong to another time, either the 1970’s when experimentation, melody, and harmony were a given, or he might belong to a future of quality music that we are only just heading back around to.” – Bill Copeland - Music Press Sep 2008.

“It’s pretty obvious that Jordan is a student of legendary artists like The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Peter Gabriel. What sets him apart from the rest of the bands that use these same people as examples is that Jordan doesn’t mimic, he utilizes the essence of these artist and then elevates it to another level of musical excellence. ‘Spaceman’ is indeed one of the most inspiring indie recordings of 2008.” - Maurice Edwards - Evolution of Media Aug 2008

“If only all of us could transform our emotional issues into gold such as this!” – Progression Magazine Summer 2008

"Taking a cue from top sellers like Radiohead, Carp has made a modern pop-rock classic.” - 20th Century Guitar October 2008

"'Spaceman' leads listeners into a thick mix of psychedelic guitar rock and gorgeous harmonies. Imagine the Beach Boys re-recording Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon', and you'll get the idea." - Performing Songwriter November 2008

MONOCULAR - "Somewhere On The Line"

(VierSieben Records/ AL!VE/ Plastic Head UK ) out now!

Get your CD or digital copy at your favorite store.

...filigree and athmospheric electrosounds, combined with the charismatic vocals of the singer Nic Koray, all in all creating an extraordinarily melancholic and thought-provoking music having no equal...

"Somewhere On The Line is the best debut album in the widened Trip-Hop-Genre since Goldfrapps legendary Felt Mountain" (Zillo Magazine 03/09)

Don´t miss it!

MONOCULAR - "Water Shape EP" - Release Today!

We are very proud to announce, that Monocular s "Water Shape EP" is available at your favorite Online-Store now.

Containing the single "Water Shape" from the forthcoming album "Somewhere On The Line" (April 03, 2009 VierSieben Records/Alive) and three non-album tracks ("Consequence", "To Admire The Life", "Ravenclaw"), it is definitely a must have for all fans of filigree and athmospheric electrosounds.

Where bands like Lamb or Frou Frou left a gap in the late 90s and early 21st century, Monocular redefined the sound and set new standards in developing their complex music by connecting charismatic vocals with entrancing soundscapes.

Don't miss it!

Hey Jordan, I wanted to thank you for showing me a lot of things I never knew about the guitar. A few more lessons probably would have done good things for me, but I'm happy with what I learned from our sessions. I'm still playing and writing when I can. I've got a long way to go, but who doesn't? It's just fun to hear where those six strings take my fingers sometimes. Sorry this such a late note. Hope everythings going well.

Hi Jordan,

LOVE your album and all the dark thoughtfulness that went into it.

For those who have not seen him, Jordan is also great live, so check him out!

I have a gig at Kennedy's Midtown in Boston on 10/18 if you are around.

My CD Release Party will be at Oliver's Cask n' Flagon on November 7th.

Hope you can make it!

I'm incredibly lame and had an early morning volunteer assignment. Hope your show went well. I told some friends about it, so if there were people clapping insanely offbeat they were probably there! haha.. Gotta see you play.. don't think I have since you played with Julian AWHILE ago.
