Myself, my Simon & Patrick 6 and 12-string acoustic guitars, with the occasional guest appearances from my harmonica and a stomping foot. I also have a group called The Grey Owls.

"Jordan Faye - love your music! Your voice reminds me of a combination of Bob Dylan, James Taylor and Neil Young - plus you are a natural storyteller like Gordon Lightfoot. Great job!" - a note submitted by an audience member at a workshop in Hamilton, Ontario
HEY, YOU!! E-MAIL JORDAN AT: jordanfayesongs@hotmail.com
Jordan Faye's music combines the infectious melodies characteristic of classic 1960s pop with the lyrical complexity of the 1970s' finest singer-songwriters. He has an equal love for such diverse musical genres as the blues, jazz, rock n' roll, country, folk music and the avant garde, and manages to fuse them into something uniquely his own.
Honing his performing chops with the Toronto-based rock n' roll outfit "Frayed" for a few years, Jordan struck out on his own in 2007 and independently released his first solo disc entitled "To The Grooves." The self-produced CD features 10 original songs on which he displays his multi-instrumental capabilities by playing guitars, bass, drums, piano, organ, mandolin, charango, jaw harp, as well as handling all vocal duties.
Jordan continued to play, write, and record his material throughout the year, cultivating his own distinct writing and peforming style. In May 2008, he released his sophomoric solo offering "No Tears Left To Cry" which showcases 11 original compositions that display this young musician's growth as a writer and arranger. Again, he recorded and mixed the CD himself and performed all of the instrumental and vocal tracks, setting them to even sparser musical arrangements to "allow the melodies and words to breathe."
A true craftsman, Jordan currently has approximately forty self-penned songs to his credit; each one a thoughtful labour of love. Tackling a variety of unconventional topics in his lyrics - busking, the state of lyric-writing, satirizing a midlife crisis - as well as the more conventional themes of love and heartbreak, each of Jordan's songs reveal additional layers of nuance and double-meaning upon repeated listening.
As of Summer 2009, Jordan is busy playing shows both solo and with his four-piece rock band, "The Grey Owls", and is recording some complex new recordings.
His refusal to repeat himself, his exciting stage presence, and his mellifluous sensibilities are all essential ingredients that help in forging the inimitable musical style of Jordan Faye.

Hi, from across the river! Very cool music that you are writing! I can hear a 'Beatle' influence in there, with regards to song composition! Great playing too, ... nice mix, master of the strings!
