About Jordan Harman Band (New Album Now on iTunes!)
In our world of sugar-sweet, mass produced, auto-tuned, musical
McProduct, can soul still exist within the pop realm? Ask Jordan
Harman Band. Somehow, the band has managed just that. They create
music that speaks something while retaining a great pop sensibility;
something that's increasingly rare today.
The band draws on an eclectic base of influences ranging from 70's
roots reggae to latin hip-hop. From classic soul and R&B to modern
acoustic rock. It's a blend that any audience regardless of age, race or
creed can not only appreciate, but can collectively groove to.

Jordan Harman-Lead Vocals, Guitar
Ask Jordan Harman to describe the songs he writes and he'll tell you that it "Just makes ya' feel good, man." His smooth vocals, rhythmic guitar playing, and infectious hooks add up to a performance sure to please any crowd. The laid-back grooves will pull you in and before you know it you're dancing to the music and singing along.
With influences such as Bill Withers, Ben Harper, D'Angelo, Jack Johnson, James Brown, The Meters, John Butler, and The Roots there are many different elements to, "Just make ya feel good."
Drew Lawhorn-Drums, Vocals
Beginning at age 13, Drew Lawhorn hit the ground running. That's when he was first introduced to and influenced by Carter Beauford which Drew says "...is the reason that I wanted to play drums and make a career of playing music." After playing snare drum in the high school marching band and being named Drum Captain for both his Junior and Senior years, he has since changed his focus to drum-set. He played his first gig at age 13, 1 week after he got his first drum kit. Since then, Drew has taught private lessons, high school percussion and has played with great names such as Robert Randolph and The Family Band and many others.
Having influences from many different genres, Drew finds a way to mix them into his own and make the music sound just right. He appreciates drummers like ?uest Love, Carter Beauford and Derico Watson just as much as Buddy Rich, Art Blakey and Elvin Jones. Drew was once told that his playing sounded like ?uest Love and Carter Beauford had a baby. "Playing different styles of music with different bands keeps me on my toes", Drew says. His roots are deep in funk, motown, R&B, and reggae and it shows through his playing. "My goal is not only to entertain and make sure that the people get what they want and more, but to make people feel something when they here our music."
James Pace-Keys
James first began piano at 3 years of age, playing piano by ear. He joined his first band at age 13, and began touring as a musician by age 18. James moved his focus from piano to the B3 Organ while touring for a year with Blind Pig Recording Artist "Harper". James has performed in over 40 States around the U.S. and Canada opening for well known acts such as the Marshall Tucker Band, BB King, Jonny Lang, ZZ Top, Blues great Koko Taylor, Kenny Neal, and Jimmy Thackery.
James has performed on stage with Blue Note Recording Artist Rodney Jones, guitar God and side man for "Steely Dan" Mr. Wayne Krantz, Blues Legend Eddie the Chief Clearwater, Muddy Waters' Harmonica player Mr. Carey Bell, and great up and coming blues guitarist "Tyler Mac" «(keep an eye for this guy).
Cyrus Pace-Guitar
In a world that often seems crowded with talented musicians, the light often shines on those artists who seek their personal voice at any cost.
Cyrus Pace has spent the last 20 years doing just that. Through the fortunate contact with musicians who stressed the importance of self-expression and originality in music early in his career, Cyrus learned of the power of music as a tool of expression. The long and continuing search for meaning in music has lead to a realization for him that the guitar is not the instrument, the player is the instrument. He is as influenced by Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, and James Brown as he is by Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Wes Montgomery. Cyrus seeks to serve the source that is independent of form, style, and classification.
Cyrus played his first professional gig at 15, toured extensively with the Navy Band, and received his Master's Degree in Jazz Performance from Manhattan School of Music where he studied with Rodney Jones. Teaching and playing throughout Virginia, Cyrus is in the constant search for better venues and great singers to work with.
P.J. George-Bass, Vocals
P. J. is a multi-instrumentalist and has been playing music since he was 4 years old. His first instrument was the piano, followed by drums, guitar, bass, and many others. As a bass player, he isn't short of experience, having played with various jazz bands, bluegrass groups and other musical projects. His influences on bass are James Jamerson, Bernard Harriston, Juan Nelson, Pino Palladino, Christian McBride, and Mike Bub, although his musical influences are widely varied. P. J. serves the band as both as bassist and a backup vocalist and keeps the low end in check.
