As you may or may not be aware SoundARC hold a charity gig every year at Club 85 in Hitchin in aid of the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, and this year we are going to try something a little different from previous years.
This year we are going to take over the club and host 37 acts in one weekend putting full bands upstairs and acoustic acts downstairs in an event that we are calling ARCfest!
It all starts on Friday 4th December at 7pm and then continues on through Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 12pm-11pm
As well as raising money for the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, ARCfest will showcase all the different genres of bands that we at SoundARC have come across over the last 4 and a half years. Over this weekend a lot of the acts that you will see don’t get a chance to play a great local venue like Club 85, So as well as hearing new music you will see all manors of genres and styles from acoustic - Metal - Indie - Rock - Punk - Electro - Ska - Funk - Hip Hop/Rap - Alternative - Rhythm & Blues - Reggae - Grunge and loads more that I cant remember!
La Folie are back in town again and we playing at the O2 Academy on Friday 11th of Septmeber! It's £4 a ticket and you get in to Transmission afterwards for free! Entry to that is usually £5 so it makes blatent sense to come see us first and you save a quid as well! get in touch if you fancy coming down
Without further a do we are pleased to announce the studio is open.
The large live room has acoustically isolated zones, vocal booth, digital capabilities and extensive analogue mixing and mastering facilities.
Contemporary interior design with furniture from bmw and deep shag pile carpets, provided together with excellent engineers, affordable rates, fresh coffee and a private terrace we have created one of the best studios in the north for you.
La Folie are having a launch party on the 8th of June at The Forum in Sheffield! £2 advance tickets/£3 on the door! Plus the added bonus of if you film some stuff from the night of us, you or anything else connected and send it us, we will send you a free copy of 'Risus Sardonicus'
Our EP launch is creeping ever nearer it would be most fantastic if you could attend! It's going to be seriously horse!
It's Saturday the 30th of May at The Library. It's an early start, early finish job (6pm - 11pm) and we are on at 9pmish. Tickets are £4 from Crash of Jumbo or on the door.
We are surrounded by brilliant bands such as our label mates The Light Streams (also launching their new EP), our old pals The Voltaires, our new friends The Feelies Inc. and we have transpennine excitement from Little Tremors.
Our EP, titled A GLimpse of Lightning will available on the night and is released the 1st of June. It's real hot. The Remix version is actually available now at www.silverlodeonline.co.uk.
Jordan Senior, Please note the new RecordScout.com website is live! We have so many new features all aimed at unsigned, and signed bands looking for valuable exposure. Previously it was just a directory for unsigned bands but our new launch includes MP3 and Video exposure as well as photo galleries. Encourage your fans to sign up and vote for you. When we go live with our national radio coverage the charts will be announced weekly! Unfortunately previous bands and artists will have to set up an new account from scratch but it is worth it!
