I like to throw parties, but only for people who want to come out and have a good time. I hate it when I ask people if they are coming, and their response is, "Yeah, we will stop by." I would rather you not come at all, then do me the favor of stopping by. Ususally people who stop by come when I am still getting ready, make me talk to them while I am still sober, and bring some cheap bottle of wine that some random who I am trying to kick out is drinking at 3 in the morning. Are you so important that you have to make the rounds of all your events that you can hang out for one night. If someone says they are stopping by, I just consider them someone who is not a friend.
By the way, I am having a party in February.
I LOVE this post dude. Zero question I'd rather have someone not come than stop by...it's a bummer, like 'oh you're just stopping by? Oh...uh...that's cool...well thanks.' Why THE FUCK would anyone invest time in someone who has announced taht they're just stopping by? You know they're leaving at any moment.
