"Holy crapola - where did this CD come from? Which planet? From the moment I put it in the CD player, I felt a slight tingle in my feet followed by an enlightening ethereal sensation." - The Dwarf
"Here We Go Down The Black Hole by Sydney outfit Shady Lane is twelve tracks and forty-three minutes of my new favourite music...Rather than being a depressing journey of existentialism, the way that Shady Lane begs the questions of why we’re here and what we’re doing, the answers seem to lie in the warm electro fuzz and melody contained within each track. 9/10" - Katie Dazzle, Music Feeds
"A melding of folk, pop and synthesisers, his performance was an indie take on Death Cab For Cutie with a dash of Aphex Twin" - Drum Media
"[Galileo] is smart, heliocentric pop very much of the Postal Service school. The electronic elements are for the most part subdued by sweet descending melodies and organic guitar parts. A great story, a great song." - Vijay Khurana, JJJ
"Like the Silver Jews or The Flaming Lips, Shady Lane lures you in with easygoing, upbeat songs that belie the dark lyrical content underneath." - Wilfred Brandt, Two Thousand
"Jordy has a striking voice that could be described as a less extravagant Rufus Wainwright...somewhat subdued, but with enough hooks to keep the songs closer to pop territory than electronica." - Music NSW
