So, my name is Jordyn Kay Shellhart, and I'm 15 years old.
I'm a musician first, and that's the most noteworthy thing about me. I play piano and guitar, and I can think of very few things that are more important to me than songwriting.
Bells and whistles are not really my thing. Most shiny objects do not fascinate me,
and I think that tiny wedding rings are much more charming than the flashy kind.
Something with character means more to me than something polished, because it has a story. It has a depth that goes beneath the polish and sparkles.
That is why I love music.
Because it's real, no matter what style or genre.
I love laughter, little kids, rainbows, and puppies. At the same time, I'm fascinated with fire and surgery.
I believe that words are worth a thousand pictures if you use them right. Maybe that's why I'm a songwriter, not a painter.
I also believe that just because something is illogical doesn't mean it's not true.
I’m a deep thinker but a child at heart. I’m an open book, but for some people I’m written in a foreign language. I’m a heartbreaking realist but a too-big-for-my-britches dreamer.
I'm too small for my own good. If I ever need to be ferocious I imagine it would be difficult for anyone to take me seriously. Like a kitten pretending to be a lion.
High heels and dancing are my worst enemies. I LOVE jeans, rings, and tie-dye. I've recently discovered that dresses are fun.
Mostly, I love people. Studying and meeting people is like my hobby. I'm really not hard to get along with...if you're nice, I want to be friends with you.
My favorite animal is the Blue-footed Booby. Don't judge. Google it!
I have a list of 164 things to do before I die...so I'm ambitious. ;)
I'm from a tiny little town in Wyoming called Wheatland. You couldn't find it on a map if you tried. I grew up in Santa Rosa, California, and it's beautiful there and in every area surrounding it. Then I moved to Nashville when I was 10.
I have 3 homes, but Nashville is where I belong. It's my home, home.
I am a fan of LIFE, and I believe in LOVE.
...and I think that dreams are all that you can really count on to be there for you no matter what. So why not chase after them??

Aw :) you're so lucky! I love singing and writing songs and playing the guitar and blaah. Any advise on how to make it in the music industry? I guess it's pretty different in the UK.. i mean, i would move to Nashville if i could. That would be awesome. But i live in a small town, and i'm only 14, which makes it a little harder to be given a chance. But i'm willing to work hard for it obviously. How did you get discovered? I'll look more into ordering the CD. I can't wait to hear it! I'm sure it's awesome. I can't wait till you make it big like Taylor Swift! Happy Thanksgiving! I got your album last week and theres only one word to describe it...incredible. The "Top 25 Most Played" on my iTunes has a lot of 'Jordyn Shellhart' in the list..I love it.:). My sister also love the album, and my friends, even the ones who really don't like country music(they're crazy.) They all love it. :) There were only a few cd's left at my best buy! And I'm getting those for my friends. Christmas presents! Woo! Haha. :). It was so awesome seeing you on GAC too. I love your at15 PSA. "I've Been There Too" is an amazing song.
