Heroes -
I wanted to do a little section on here for the people that have made me who I am today, and inspire me to be a better person every day that I'm alive.
First of all, my brother is my hero. He is the best person I've ever known, and I feel lucky beyond words to have spent 13 years of my life with him. He has always taken care of me, and he still is, I'm sure, in every way that he can. R.I.P Tay...I love you!
My mom is my idol, and the person that I try to model my life after. She has sacrificed an unbelievable amount of her life for me. I can only hope to one day be as selfless and awesome as my mom. I would rather die than have to live life without her, and I'm being completely serious. She's so much more amazing than she'll ever understand.
My grandma is such an amazing lady, it's ridiculous. She is the most selfless person I've ever met in my life. She is the only person I know who would give too much to someone, and never expect anything in return. People say that about everyone, but with her it's true. She's my biggest fan, and I love her so so much!
My best friends Maggie and Ellen are the best things that have ever happened to me! I do not like the person I become when they aren't in my life. They keep me, me. They don't let me get caught up in little things that don't matter, and they are ALWAYS there when I need them. We sleep with our phone on extra loud in case one of us calls when we're asleep :) Maggie is my songwriting soulmate, and Ellen is my person. They're the best friends that I've always wanted...3 years and counting :] I love them oh so much.

Well for starters, I'm 14 years old, and my name is Jordyn Kay Shellhart. I hate talking about myself. But here goes.
To be honest, I have absolutely no problem getting along with people...as long as you don't spell my name with an A =]. It drives me crazy. And yet, it happens every day. Ha.
As you may probably have guessed by now, music is my forte.
Songwriting is my first love, and it pretty much makes up my entire identity.
I'm a singer, too, and have been since birth. I wrote my first song when I was 8, and I started to really love it at 10 years old when I would write with my best friend Maggie on weekends...just lyrics and melodies :] I started playing guitar at 13. So not long ago...but I'm workin on it. And I love it.
I was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Most of my family lives in Wheatland, Wyoming...which has a population of like 12 :) I grew up in Santa Rosa, California. Franklin Tennessee is my favorite place on earth, and where I currently live. It's about 17 miles south of Nashville, which is very convenient. I moved here in 2005, and it's the best thing that's ever happened to me!
I am not a good cook...I plan to take a class at some point to improve...either that, or I'll feel very bad for my future boyfriend.
I'm a social butterfly, and could not survive without happy people in my life. I make friends easily...so if your rad, then we're probably already best friends. If not, I'm willing to change that.
I can be complicated, or not so much. It depends on how well you get to know me. I try not to make things too obvious...but at the same time, I'm a pretty blunt person.
I love sarcastic, witty people who can make me laugh. Making me laugh is not difficult...actually, it's probably harder to make me stop laughing then it is to make me start.
I have many many goals, and I would consider myself very hard working. I try and give 100% in everything. Sometimes I feel that I have too many goals...but then I achieve one and change my mine ;]
I'm a very loyal person...I'll always defend my friends and family, and I'll stick with you if I give you my word, as long as it's not hurting me. My word means something, I promise.
I am someone who would rather work then socialize...but I wouldn't really consider my work "work." In other words, writing songs comes before a trip to the movies in my book. Just because I love it that much. I'm not missing out on anything...I understand what I want.
Grey's Anatomy is pretty much the center of my universe.
I'm really not the type of person who enjoys working out or exercise of any sort. Getting off the couch and walking up the stairs fit under that category, too.
Splendiferous is my favorite word.
Baseball is my favorite sport to watch.
The Yankees make me want to throw things at my TV. Even if Derek Jeter is gorgeous.
I've never had a boyfriend...I honestly don't want one right now. There's no particular reason for that, I just don't. And to each her own, right? Haha.
Peace is kinda my thing. John Lennon is kinda my hero.
My current aspiration is to meet Tom. The myspace guy.
All in all, life is good. I can't complain.

Songs on my player: I'll be putting more of my songs on here at some point, but until then, the only one written by me is "Gravity". I wrote it with my best friend, Maggie Trabucco. The other three songs aren't mine, but they're just some of my favorites. "Sing You Back" and "Why do They Call it Blue" are both songs that remind me of my brother and "Only Hope" is from one of my favorite movies EVER....A Walk to Remember. I apologize to anybody that thought I had personally written more than Gravity.
