Meet Jorge Catoni, a mixed media artist, illustrator, graphic designer, and photographer that relocated to Chile from Las Vegas. His striking images caught our eye, not only because of his bright use of colors, clean lines, and funky character creations, but because we couldn’t help but feel like we’d slapped on a pair of those cool 3-D glasses they used to put in Cracker Jack boxes. Trippy.
After graduating from graphic design school, Catoni really started his career, (“I mean making shows in galleries.”) Obviously very passionate about his work, Catoni states, “What is seen and heard is not what it seems nor does it pretend to be. Within the precarious and the technological, in the chaos and the calm, in the scarce and the abundant, the positive and the negative, in infancy and maturity, that is how I pass.” (Juxtapoz/Emerging Artist/June 2008)
