Sounds Like
With only a guitar he can produce music that sounds like a guitar with different percussion instruments. His jazz style is reminiscent of the style of renowned jazz guitarrists, but always adding his own touch of afro and flamenco sounds. His versatility allows him to move between different styles, always with ease as though they are his own.
Jose Angel Navarro
was born in October 1, in Güines, a small southern town in Havana province, Cuba.
He grew up within an ordinary, simple and non well educated family, with none precedents that any of his ancestors was previously dedicated to music professionally.
Nevertheless, since he was a little towards music and art in general, listening intuitively to Jazz, Classical and Instrumental music.
The most fundamental characteristic of Mr. Jose Angel Navarro is that he has been capable to take to the concert halls through out the world, the sounds and the concept of the Afro Cuban music as well as his technique in the guitar. His technique has been acclaimed, by music’s best as being unique in the world.
His most impressive quality in which he can imitate the sounds of the traditional ceremonial drums on the guitar strings.
“His technique”, a left-handed muffled harmonics with simultaneous muted notes, combined with his ability to make his hands seem to be at a stand still and yet he is classified by the guitar world as being one of the fastest guitar players in the world, you can appreciate his speed and technique in all of his music whether he plays Classical, Jazz, Fusion, New Age or Flamenco.
In his artistic career he has participated as Master in 16 International Music Festival of the Guitar.
Internationally he has shared the stage with, and in many occasion played together with such masters of the guitar as: John Mc Laughlin, Stanley Jordan, Paco de Lucia, Vicente Amigo,Tomatito, Reimundo Amador, Larry Coryell, Joan Bibiloni, Bireli Lagrene, Javier Vargas, Ray Gómez, Luis Salinas, Strunz & Farah, among others.
His compositions on the “Afro” concept have been honored and celebrated by the masters of this instrument as being a total innovation in the sense of conceptual sonority and sound as a patrimony inside the composition for the guitar of Latin America.

Hi mi estimado amigo; Please don't be upset. Your time will come, and it'll be sooner than you think. Your music is great. It's so diverse! Have a good one. Mario Carter
Have you ever been stumped in your creativity? Sir Philip Sidney has the answer in his poem:
Astrophel and Stella: Sonnet 1
1 Loving in truth, and fain in verse my love to show, That she dear she might take some pleasure of my pain, Pleasure might cause her read, reading might make her know, Knowledge might pity win, and pity grace obtain, I sought fit words to paint the blackest face of woe: Studying inventions fine, her wits to entertain, Oft turning others’ leaves, to see if thence would flow Some fresh and fruitful showers upon my sunburned brain. But words came halting forth, wanting Invention’s stay; Invention, Nature’s child, fled stepdame study’s blows; And others’ feet still seemed but strangers in my way. Thus, great with child to speak, and helpless in my throes, Biting my truant pen, beating myself for spite: "Fool," said my Muse to me, "look in thy heart, and write." --(1582)
