About me:

José Morao is a professional drummer. He's played all kinds of styles and been teaching drumming for a while. He studied at Drummers Collective, New York, in 1996 with Bobby Sanabria, Duduka DaFonseca, Michael Lauren, Kim Plainfield, Sandy Gennaro, among others, and two venezuelan drummers: Luis T. García and Gustavo Calle.
He started in music at a very young age playing cuatro and cello in Colegio Emil Friedman, Caracas. In a professional field he's played with several venezuelan bands and solo artists such as Benjamín Brea's Sexteto de Jazz, Roldan Peña's Jazz 3, Porfi Jiménez Jazz Big Band, Giselle Brass, Rigel Michelena, Kiara, Divine, Simoney Romero, Juan Diego, Hamlet, Justine, Ezequiel Serrano, Roberto Jirón, Oscar Fanega, Leo Vargas, The Angelo Pagliuca's Big Band, Propiedad Privada and Fractaler.
He also has a degree in Comunicación Social at Universidad Central de Venezuela.
At the moment, José has joined "Sibelius", a neo-classical rock project.
