Bands with zombie in their song titles, Reading, traveling, writing, author signings, food- good food!
Music
Where to start? I am so in love with music you may say it seems I have the tastes of more than one person. I don't like duets with xylophones. They scare me.
Movies
Ah yes, Iron Man, Sweeney Todd, Across the Universe, anything by Jim Jarmusch, David Lynch, Miyazaki, again, the pressure is nearly too great to choose one or the other. My moods are many. Next!
Television
Who has time for TV when one is broadening one's mind with books? PHHfT!
(I do love The Office & Reno 911 when I am not busy reading, Oh & A&E, Monty Python you crack me up!)
Books
This may take a minute... No, I won't choose.
Heroes
Wolverine hello!

About me: Neil and Mary Beth Van Uum opened the first Joseph-Beth store in Lexington, Kentucky in November 1986. The original bookstore began with 37,000 titles in a 6,500 square foot space. This space soon proved itself inadequate, so plans were made to move to a new location. Expansion and renovation, and today, the 40,000 square foot bookstore, located in the very heart of the Mall at Lexington Green, provides customers with two stories of books and sidelines, expanded music and children’s departments, and a full service restaurant overlooking the Lexington Green Lake.
Our newest Joseph-Beth store opened in Charlotte, North Carolina in April of 2005. Adjacent to the SouthPark Mall, the premier shopping destination for the Carolinas, the spot is centered in one of Charlotte's most beautiful and busiest neighborhoods. We are thrilled to call Charlotte our new home.
Today, the Joseph-Beth Group is one of the nation’s strongest and most prosperous independent bookselling companies.
Thanks for the add. I'm a North Carolina writer and UNC alum, and I wrote BEING WRITTEN as an MFA student at NC State. The novel is being released by Harper Perennial in September, and I'm reaching out now to some of Harper Perennial's book-loving friends.
BEING WRITTEN is the story of a man who knows he’s a minor character in a book and the lengths to which he’ll go to win a bigger part.
You can find out more about the novel in this one-minute video, on my MySpace profile, and at www. williamconescu. com. Thanks again!
