Its all about the music for me I am born of Nigerian origin as Joseph Okitikpi.....(complicated for you to pronounce too many consonants lol) so stick with Joseph Junior for now sometimes spell it together Josephjunior......hee hee_____________________________________ It started from two ......I cried and cried and cried cos I saw someone with a toy Piano and microphone. I cried cried sooooooo bad cos I wanted it I wanted it sooooo bad......I got it yes I did..... Then my Dad was always buying the latest vinyls back then , he always had a listening party round his house......(this is what my mum said) Fast forward Teenage years I heard Anita Baker, George Benson, Al jareau, King Sunny Ade , Fela Kuti,Whitney (yes Whitney) and all the pop stuff when pop was good Blondie is the lick Adam Ant.....lol....... I lived in my imagination thought I was part of that movement wanted to be where they were......... Grew up even more got into the 90s Brand New Heavies Omar Mica Loose Ends what has happened to British Soul......found jazz Ella, Sarah, Coltraine, Miles..........what happened to Jazz FM.........Then felt I needed help joined the Soul Experince Vocal Academy Thanks Patrick Jean Paul Denis he though me so much really he did.....I had to find my voice. I discovered Will Downing, wow!!! Miles Jaye, and Phyllis Hyman WOW she just turned it around 4 me ....again what happened to Jazz Fm lol.......... I took a bit bit of courage to step out there Jazz Café jazz jam......yeah .....some choir stuff and theatre SHADES........then backing vocals stuff.......some BIG stuff and small stuff. still do it..........then collaborations........then writing for other bands BIG stuff and small stuff.......(can't be asked with the name droppings....lol ...........then TV some BIG stuff lol............got gigs some BIG pay some small pay and some free.(but no more free lol).Vocal arrangements stuff one special one being the fantastic and unique QUEELEY (check top) we went to PHILLY yeah Larry Gold (he loved my stuff ) Gamble and Huff. wow what an experience!!! I am going back. I love u Queeley.the world will hear ur work. It was BOON (check top) an amazing guy and musician, (please check his stuff he encouraged me to do an album seriously I did not think of that cos I didn't really believe in myself that far enough.... Here I am now working with some cool really cool people check my TOP including GUYNAMITE ...so talented and humble........MYERSLANE my other project and SILENT VOICE but the main one being the fantastic MAQMAN (check my blog) I found some kind of home with this guy he just gets it..........u haven't even heard it all from this guy........Genius he really is I will be surprised if he does not go far)..........and I love myspace really do I met some fantastic people on here just the reall folks who leave comments encouraging me .I am still learning and always will to be better......wanna work with FRANCOIS and Slimline I will do........still trying to pay the bills sometimes I wanna give up sometimes I don't Here is to the future........who knows will u buy the album in 2008?
