Josh Accardo is a New York-based Stand-Up Comic who has come to be known for the up-tempo, high-energy act that reveals his obscure outlook on life while drawing from personal experience; his mother dating a 26-year-old, the power of the Booty Clap, and his love for Seal the Singer.
A San Diego native, Josh began his career in comedy at the age of 19, quickly becoming a fixture in the world famous Comedy Store system by performing at the Hollywood Comedy Store, and the La Jolla Comedy Store in San Diego. During his tenure he was fortunate to perform for, and receive an endorsement from, the legendary Mitzi Shore. Shortly thereafter Josh made his first trip to New York City. After experiencing the rush of a triple performance his first night up, he didn’t hesitate to make the move to New York official.
Josh has opened for Mariah Carey, played clubs across the nation, and released the short film “Scene Girl” in 2005; which he directed, starred in, and produced. Josh was recently the co-host of the underground radio show “Shrink Rap”, which featured comics Jim Gaffigan and Artie Lange. He can be seen regularly performing in New York City Comedy Clubs and heard on Sirius Radio.
