Songwriter & singer Josh Bass has been a consistent staple of the New York City folk and blues scene for some time now. During his teenage years Josh Bass began writing and soon after picked up the guitar with the insistence on emulating the great poet-singers and blues guitarists before him. After years of writing solo, Josh Bass collaborated with writer and singer Cove Aaronoff and together they formed the blues band Community Gun. With a celebrated EP under their belt and a new album on the way, Community Gun has played for the crowds of the North East and has quickly and properly amassed a stage presence and tight-knit following. Along the way he has written for folk singer and classical guitarist Helen Avakian, with two of his songs featured on the album, “I Love The Moon.” The award winning title track and the album closer “Goodbyes.” Josh Bass has recorded with famed producer Jimmy Lonesome Goodman, who along with Gordon Raphael, has produced for The Strokes. In the summer of 2008 Josh Bass released his first solo album, self-titled and self-produced. With sales reaching as far as Paris, France Josh Bass has garnered loyalty in his fan base and honesty in his songs. With a new album shortly due for release, please stay tuned for what is to come. Josh Bass is a proud member of ASCAP.
