About Josh Cole

I grew up in Langley/Surrey. I mostly play the bass (upright and electric), and write tunes. I also really like the guitar and the piano and a bit of electronic music programming. I did my undergrad at Capilano College in music performance. During that time I studied with Chris Tarry, Andre Lechance, and Jodi Proznick. I co-lead the acoustic modern jazz group 'The October Trio' with Evan Arntzen - saxes, and Dan Gaucher - drums. In 2008 I attended the Banff Center International Workshop in jazz and creative music. Some of the "jazz'rs" I've recorded/performed with include Brad Turner, Ron Samworth, George Mcfetridge, Stephen Fisk, and Bruno Hubert. I've also recorded/performed with "non-jazz'errs?" Zaac Pick (Doubting Paris), Ryan McAlister (Dakona).
