at the beginning of 2009, i made a resolution, for better or for worse, to write and record a song a week for the entire year. Feat 52 is the project that has resulted from that resolution. most of the progress with that project will be documented there on my new website, http://joshfuson.com. i'll be posting a new song each week by midnight on wednesday, the hard deadline i've imposed on myself. (thursday being the first day of 2009.)
during the month of february, i'll be taking part in the rpm challenge: write, record, and produce a record of 10 songs or 35 minutes in length during the 28 days of february. check out my profile on the rpm challenge website for more up-to-date info.

Wanted to let you know about the latest Indie Elf blog, “Publicity Help Going CHEAP!” WARNING: This particular blog will probably only be of interest to indie musicians who need some good press and don’t have a lot of extra money.
But everyone else can come take a look at the cartoon versions of me, Nomad and Damien. Funny!!
Just posted a new blog about promoting indie-music, etc. It's on my page, called "Indie-music promo ideas, suggestions and thoughts, oh my!" Would love to get your input.
xxoo,
Mare, the indie-music elf (not just for Christmas anymore :-))
Hey, I just posted a blog with info about possibly getting your name mentioned in Performing Songwriter magazine. It's on my page (myspace.com/marewakefield), called "Get Your Name in the Mag!"
Really great to see you and to eat huevos with you and to discuss blockages with you! I hope you get accustomed to the drive to and from Portland as we all hope it happens more often!
