I would have to say that my biggest influence would have to be Rob Thomas. His songs and lyrics are amazing and he sings with a passion that has all but dissapeared in many other artists' "produced" sounds of today.

JJosh Green is a 25 year old singer/songwriter originally from Lawton, Oklahoma and now residing in Little Rock, Arkansas. After playing guitar and singing in multiple bands for years, he decided in 2001 to become a solo acoustic singer/songwriter, more to the likes of his influences Rob Thomas, Dave Matthews, and Damien Rice.
Josh got his start by playing at local coffee shops and small bars in North Little Rock. Since then his main gigs are at Flying Saucer and Cajuns Wharf in Little Rock, but he has played everywhere from Little Rock, Fayetteville, El Dorado, Memphis, and even Oklahoma.
His take on cover songs, and a few hidden originals, of all different musical styles and artists (ranging from Matchbox Twenty to Garth Brooks) has proven to be a hit from the crowded bars of downtowns everywhere, to the local charity events, and even intimate house party settings. As a member of the audience (big or small) you can be guaranteed to walk away moved by the raw emotion that he puts into every rhythmic strum of the guitar and every powerful note that he sings.
Music is not a new passion for Josh. He picked up the guitar after his MoM (who played guitar when she was younger and still occasionally picks around) bought him his first one at a garage sale when he was only 12 years old. He quickly began to teach himself the basics of how to play by practicing every day after school and even into the late night hours. Once he got the hang of the guitar he added the singing factor to the mix... and Josh has been singing since as far back as anyone can remember, so it only came natural for the two to mix.
Being from the south serves as a constant reminder of how generous people are, and how much they really do love not only his music, but just music in general. Josh is sharing his time between enjoying life and spending plenty of time in the studio where he is currently writing material he hopes to pitch to record labels in the near future. Based on his latest compositions, the future looks promising!
