Josh has never known life without music. he was born in Mobile, Alabama, to parents Ken and Danette Lindsey, both of whom are vocalists. Josh also grew up under the heavy influence of the free flowing spiritual sounds and music of a Pentecostal church.
Though he had the heart and the gift for music at an early age, his own coming out musically is attributed to his high school days of leading in worship services and being part of a garage band. Throughout life he explored various styles of music, but he eventually found his own style along the way.
As with any artist, people and places he has been exposed to have affected him. When Josh lived in Hawaii for a year, the place and culture tremendously impacted his life and music. Upon returning to the mainland, his life went through rapid transitions. The biggest transition being that he was soon married to Lauri Higgins, with whom he now shares a son, Joshua Bo.
