Josh L. Larue, electronic music artist, was born in Granada in 1985. He is one of the new talents of the underground techno scene.

His first contact with music was in 1992, when at the age of 7 he began piano classes at the music academy in the city of his birth. Years later, together with his older brother, he discovered techno music and became fascinated with artists such as Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, Juan Atkins and the Detroit techno scene in general. His first steps into electronic music began at age 15 when he started looking into music software and got hold of his first set of turntables.

His sound has gone in two directions. On one side Detroit Techno where he shows great skill in his work with tr-909 and on the other, the Birmingham Sound broken rhythms are mixed with and a hypnotic atmosphere.

This has lead to his music being played by prestigious international dj's, such as the Japanese Ben Gibson (6277/Axis) and the Dutch Charlton (Audio Assault/Arms) among others, and allowed him to build up an extensive discography in a short time, since the appearance of his first digital production in 2008 “LOBO EP”. It was released by the Portuguese label LABRYNTH, where he has since produced tracks with the Granada based C-System and continues to work with the label today. He is also currently working with the Spanish label TEKNATIKA and several European labels including DIGITAL REFLECTION (Netherlands), M_REC (Italy), BACKWATER COMMUNITY RECORDINGS (UK) and PUBLIC FREQUENCY (Germany).

Josh L. Larue, artista electrónico nacido en Granada en 1985. Es uno de los artistas emergentes dentro de la escena más underground del techno.

Su primer contacto con la música tiene lugar en 1992, cuando con tan solo 7 años comienza a tomar clases de piano en el conservatorio de su ciudad natal. Años más tarde junto a su hermano mayor, descubre la música electrónica, quedando fascinado por artistas como Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, Juan Atkins y el Techno Detroit en general. Sus inicios como músico electrónico se producen a la edad de 15 años cuando comienza a indagar en el mundo del software musical y compra su primera pareja de giradiscos.

Su sonido se bifurca en dos registros: por un lado el Techno Detroit donde demuestra una gran destreza a la hora de trabajar con la tr-909 y por otro lado el sonido Birmingham donde la tónica son los ritmos rotos y la hipnosis atmosférica.

Todo esto ha hecho que su música haya sonado en sesiones de dj's de prestigio internacional como el japonés Ben Gibson (6277/Axis) o el holandés Charlton (Audio Assault/Arms) entre otros, y le ha llevado a tener una extensa discografía en un corto periodo de tiempo, siendo en 2008 cuando aparece su primera referencia digital "LOBO EP" con el sello portugués LABRYNTH, donde posteriormente ha publicado junto al también granadino C-System y donde a día de hoy continua colaborando. Actualmente también trabaja para el sello español TEKNATIKA y en diversos sellos europeos como DIGITAL REFLECTION (Países Bajos), M_REC (Italia) BACKWATER COMMUNITY RECORDINGS (Reino Unido) y PUBLIC FREQUENCY (Alemania).
