As you may have guessed, I am interested in a lot of things. Of the things about which I love most to learn are languages, music, drugs, thought processes, and the true power of any individual. We all create the waves that control the soothing tide that turns our world round.
Music
As far as music is concerned, I have quite enjoyed myself recently. It has been a time for expansion. My favorite genres of music are Alt., Rock, and Pop. But as of late, I have been so lucky as to learn the joys of hip hop, classical, metal, and even some country, and it has made me value music all the more. It really is universal, and we all should indulge ourselves in it.
I peronally play piano and guitar, and I am trying to get off the ground as a musician. I want to upload music online and try for a fan base of some sort. I enjoy covering songs, but I ove playing things I've written. As I like the idea more and more, I fill intensified need to better myself, and so I wish to practice more.
Movies
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I would make a terrible film critic. I really have not been exposed to enough movies in my life to give my any real feeking for true taste. But there have deifinitely some that I've enjoyed a lot. My favorite genre is horror/thriller/suspense.
I am also part of a film group known as Delta Film, which is relatively inactive as of late. It has been a lot of fun making movies thus far, though, so I'm optimistic for the possibility in the fututre.
Television
One thing that has mainly been penciled out of my schedule over the last year has been TV. I love game shows, and many cartoons. South Park, The Simpsons, and Family Guy still remain at the top of my charts. I also love cooking shows. Alton Brown is my favorite from the Food Network. And I love me some Good Eats.
Books
I need, desperately, to start reading again. I love it once I get into it, but I haven't really done it for fun lately. I love fantasy books, and for my, fiction is better. For a moment, just imagine all the different books written in all the different languages of he world. Now imagine all of he potential stored within this extensive library. It amazes me.
Heroes
I don't have heroes in my life, really. I llke up to many people, but I'm definitely here to become who I am, and I don't feel it's appropriate to model yourself so integrally after someone else. There are definitely some amazing people in this world.
About me: I am a pin teetering between both sides of the proverbial fence. I am an ear. I am a set of open arms ready to embrace all I see. I am an optimist. I am a propagator of the utmost equality of all living beings, and in a larger sense I am the one who fights for life. I am pro-choice. I am here and now, molded by time and space, and I am effected by everything. I am a walking translator, and I know how to travel between here and there. It's in voices. I am a writer, and I am a lover. I can but slightly tolerate intolerance, and I am a hypocrite.
But first and foremost, I am me. Josh Chotiner, born just pre-nineties, and I know my passions. They are of language, and of the human mind. They are of music, and of the passage of time. They are of helping the world, a little bit at a time, and of improving myself as well. I Know what's right from wrong, and I want to lead by example. I am an individual looking to change the world on an individual level, and I hope that everyone else will do the same.
Who I'd like to meet: I would love to meat all of the people who will captivate me with who they are. I am such a talker, and because I dig everything, I wanna learn a little about everything. So if you have something to teach me, be it a language, a lifestyle, or a new video game cheat, I implore you to teach me, lifelong learner that I am, what you may so that I may pass it on.
