I am heavily in debt to three people. First and foremost, God. Without God I would be nothing and no one, talentless, and unable. I would be deficient in every way possible, but through Him I have been blessed, hence my music, which is fully devoted to Him. I am fully and completely in debt to Christ, who has provided the following two men in my life who have greatly influenced my musical career.
Dave Reno, my Dad, to whom I owe all my musical aspirations, has been the most influential person to me musically, and to whom I am in debt for knowing anything about music. Without my Dad I would have never learned how to play guitar, I would have never learned how to play piano. Without my Dad, I would be not so much, unable and talentless, as I would be unmotivated and apathetic. I owe to my Dad everything that has transpired in the last five years to make me the musician that I am. Without his constant encouragement, advice, discipleship, and mentoring I would not be near the musician I am today.
Last and certainly not least, Josh Parsons. I have been blessed beyond measure through the friendship of and musicianship of Josh Parsons. He, like my Dad, has been a constant encourager and believer in me and my music. Josh has provided a constant inspiration and example of not only what it is to be a musician, but also a Christ follower, and what it is to be, despite his unimaginable talent, a humble guy. Not only has Josh been a friend beyond whom I deserve, Josh introduced me to the beauty of recording and producing music, and for that I am constantly in his debt, as are any of you who may enjoy listening to my music.
Thanks to these great guys, and to Christ. They are all represented in my music. A wise man once wrote, "I appreciate what Christ is doing. What he will do. Music is in my blood."
